This website by the Utah State University Forestry Extension shares a lot of useful information on tree types as firewood (heat/BTUs, weight, smoke type, etc.).

Native Trees of Idaho

This link has a fairly comprehensive list of tree species found in Idaho.  It is a useful tool when trying to figure out what tree types are local to you for use as firewood.

Responsible Forest Management

The Idaho Forest Products Commission is a useful resource to learn about scientific studies and practices, and educational content for K-12 children to learn about responsible forestry management practices.

My Promise to the Community

Environmental sustainability is important to continuing successful resource management, which includes collecting/harvesting firewood.  This is why I believe it is important to have transparency with how and why I collect firewood.  I source the wood from Public Lands (Forest Service/BLM) in an effort to help maintain healthy forests in Idaho.
